The Converts' Declaration

This  declaration is similar to a Shmoneh Esreh or Yigdal we use as a statement of faith and as part of our siddur.

The God of Yisra’el is my savior,

Is 43:3; 45:21

The One God, YHWH, alone.

Dt 6:4; Is 44:6

At my beginning, at my end;

Is 41:4; 44:6

From the time I rise,

Dt 6:7

until I lie down

His Torah marks my way.

I was on a journey, lost on false paths;

i.e., Christianity and other pagan religions

Lost in the wilderness of man;

indeed, a son of man.

I have turned my heart, my mind, my life’s breath to God;

Dt 30:6-Neh 1:9-17

Away from creatures above the world and beneath,

Ex 20:4; Dt 3:39

Away from sticks, stones, and carved things,

Dt 4:28

Away from the gods of captivity among the nations,

Ps 96:5; Dt 12:29-32; Jer 10:2

Away from gods that cross the womb, dying and rising.

Like Tammuz, Osiris, Adonis, Jesus, or deified kings and leaders.

All these gods I cast aside

and prostrate myself to the One God.

Zec 14:9

His People are my People, Yisra’el’s God is my God.

Ruth 1:16-17; Ex 19:5-6; Zec 14:9

I awaited His Torah on the coasts,

Ps 97; Is 42:1-4

I once stood afar but draw near;

I sat in darkness, but saw His great light.

Is 42:5-7

I lived for bread,

but now all proceeding from the mouth of YHWH.

Dt 8:3

Every mountain and hill are low

with straight ways before me.

Is 40:4

I clutch the fringe of a Jew,

hold to the cord of blue and remember.

Nu 15:38-9; Zec 8:23

I will not return like a dog to its vomit,

Pr 26:11

but I choose to stand in the congregation of God.

Ps 1:5

Who will stand against YHWH?

Dt 32:43;

Who will bless His People and be blessed,

or curse and be accursed?

Gn 12:3

Every knee will bend to our God,

YHWH, the God of Yisra’el.

Is 45:23

Potentates He brings to nothing

and rulers of the earth to nothing;

Is 40:23

He accounts all the nations as less than nothing.

Is 40:17

But I am the child of the Most High, His son Efrayim;

Ex 4:22; Ho 11:1ff.

He says, “I will not ever forget you.

Is 49:15

Behold! I have engraved you upon My hands;

your walls are always before Me.

Is 49:16

I will bless you and keep you and My face shall shine upon you.”

Nu 6:24

“No weapon formed against you will succeed;

And every tongue raised against you

with accusation will you refute;

This is the heritage of the servants of YHWH;

their vindication comes from Me!”

Is 54:17

Circumcision, the sign of God’s covenant upon me

Women omit "upon me"

Is a never-ending covenant.

Gn 17:10-14; Lev 12:3

Who is like YHWH? God is not a man!

Ex 15:11; Nu 23:19

In His hand alone is salvation

Ps 146:3; Ec 7:20; Ex 15:2; Ps 62

and in His hand alone do I put my life.

Ps 27

This means that:
My God is the God of Israel, and not Yeshua (Jesus) or any person.
My savior is the God of Israel, and not Yeshua (Jesus) or any person.
*The God of Israel Who created all things, created me and this world as good and with purpose;
Evil is the denial of this truth and God's good purpose revealed by His Torah.*
I believe Yeshua (Jesus) was a righteous man and not the instigator of any Christian religion.
I believe Yeshua (Jesus) was a son of God just as I am, human as I am.
I am superior to no son of God.
I will strive to walk like Yeshua walked on the path of God's Torah and not the path of men or governments or a multitude to do evil.
I renounce and resist all authority not subservient to the Torah of God.
These are true Ebionite beliefs my community and my Paqid strives to represent which I will support and strive to represent in my life.

*The addition is an attempt to formulate a rejection of Christian, and Gnostic dualism. Christian dualism assigns anything they prefer not to deal with to Satan (a Gnostic type entity rather than the biblical adversary as servant of God in Job, etc.), and similarly their belief in depravity and almost Gnostic-like rejection of creation (matter). It denies the Gnostic belief in a demiurge creator.
