ari3r.gif (1956 bytes) Development of the NT canon

The Canon List below represents only the Paulistic, Western church canon only. It should also be remembered that this "catholic" canon includes apocrypha that the relatively "new" splinter groups ("Protestants") reject as authoritative. Also not all "protestants" accepted the Protestant NT Canon completely, including ex-priest Martin Luther, whose biggest problems were non-Pauline writings (James, Revelations, and Jude).
